Jim Carrey Online

I was reading the article on the web site and I was rather offended when he said this was to be Jim Carrey's first drama type movie. Obviously this guy never saw Man on the Moon, Simon Birch, or the Truman Show. It just makes me mad that no one has ever had faith in his diversity. People need to realize that he is not just a comedic actor and when given the chance he is going to blow people away. Hopefully this movie will finally wake the rest of the world up to his capabilities as a serious, as well, as a comedic actor. Just look at Robin Williams. No one wanted to give him a chance at being serious, but once they did they saw his diverse talents. Sorry for venting, but i have felt this way for many years. I have a question to anyone that should happen to read this.. Have you ever written Jim Carrey? If so what did you get back as a response? I have been a fan for numerous years and never had the guts to write him, because I didn't want to sound like a gushy teeny-bopper and tell him how funny he his and ask for an autograph. Rather I wanted to just write him, I finally did just that after many revisions and rewrites. I got a response a few weeks later, but was rather disappointed. My response was an just an autographed picture when i hadn't even asked for one. I know he very busy and does not have time to read or let alone write back to every letter he gets. It just kind of made the luster of the dream a little duller. Oh well I am still a HUGE fan and will never think any less of him. Now don't get me wrong I am thrilled to have his autograph, but I would have rather had a response to know that he read it, not merley his PR department stamping a signature on to an 8x10 glossy. In the meantime i can not wait for the new flick and for what is in store for the future. he never ceases to amaze me. <p></p><i></i>
