Yep, he's not playing one fat guy, he's playing another! Looks like he's crossing his limits again to do what he can to look like the Star of Bizarre like doing what he could to live as Andy Kaufman. Whatever he can do to wow us while being is working again. There's more to this segment which can be found on Youtube on your own time. Funny you should mention Santa since Ripley's birthday is Christmas!

Honestly, I'm beginning to have my doubts about this project. Sure, Robert Ripley is a person that brought us interesting facts and amazing stories. On the other hand, the man himself is not realy an interesting character to play and not realy a challenge. With the new people behind this project I have the pre-feeling this movie will have Jim Carrey (with little chance to show amazing things when it comes to acting in this one) surrounded by weird people and creatures ... Special effects will dominate.

Let's move to "Pierre, Pierre" ('Up in the Air' just became number 1 on the critics list of 2009!) and "Damn Yankees", (he will be amazing in that role, amazing cast also!) ... and why not, off-beat comedy as "O'Gunn!", bring it on!

ITA!!!!!!!! I wanted a biography of the man, not a special effects driven "family adventure"

Let's face it ... The project was interesting, but all the people involved that were able to make this something unique, are out. (exept for Jim, ofcours) With Chris Columbus directing ... well, look at his list of movies. ;)

I wonder what's happening on this one.??
