I really hope that Dr. Jim Carrey will do "True Crimes". I love him in dramatic roles. I admit, I prefer Jim Carrey dramas than comedies.
I like his comedies. But I prefer to see him do more dramatic roles than comedic roles.

For me it's OK if he only does more serious stuff for the rest of his carreer, as long as there will be a 3th Ace Ventura.

If he does this film i hope he will go to festival of Cannes

I think it would be a good challenge for him!

Was watching the last episode of TD the other night, got me thinking about this project and something popped up in my head ... Wouldn't this be awesome?

True Detective, season 3, starring Jim Carrey & Jeff Daniels.

With the right story and director that could be awesome. And would be perfect as the follow-up for season two, since people don't think it's that good. The more they will appreciate the new talent coming to save the show.

They could pull it off. Carrey is praised for almost all of his serious roles and Jeff Daniels was praised for "The Newsroom". I see the perfect team in those two. And I see no problem in the fact they both were together in Dumb & Dumber, I bet critics would be amazed about how these actors are able to make you forget that while watching.

So, Jim is replacing Christoph Waltz, who left. Agata Kulesza, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Kati Outinen, Zbigniew Zamachowski and Marton Czokas are the co-stars so far.

Usualy Charlotte Gainsbourg is kinda picky about her projects, so that gives me hope.

I can't wait until "True Crimes" comes out. Is it gonna be for a 2016 release or a 2017 release? Whenever it's released, I can't wait.

Thriller is a gener that Jim hasn't done much. I personally liked seeing him in The Number 23 but I wanna see more.
He's a great actor and he can do it!

We'll have to wait...

A change of scene away from LA, with a new project to focus on might be good for Jim at this difficult time .... and a European art house style movie will be new for him...whilst it sounds a tiny bit like '23' in concept, perhaps this will have the depth it was missing......i have a good feeling about this film.

I know that Jim Carrey is gonna start shooting "True Crimes" next Saturday (November 7, 2015). But I was wondering when the release date will be. Some articles I read, says a 2016 release, some say 2017 release. I was wondering which is which, 2016 or 2017?
