I love radish! Powerful root vegetable. And rhubarb crumble is delicious too.

Scotland does a potato fritter. Deep fried of course. It is a bit of a myth and rarity, but we even do deep fried mars bar! The Scots are not the healthiest of people! I'd try the corn fritter if I ever visit Canada. :D

Haha! Yeah I've had a few deep fried pizzas in my youth. Tried the deep fried mars bar, but it was too much even as a kid with a sweet tooth. Never tried the deep fried cream egg. A real Easter treat that has some obscure connection to Jesus I imagine!?

Yeah my son is 15 who was vegan before me! So proud really. A lot of the younger generation are moving away from meat, particularly dairy. It's a great sign. :D

Aw, no hate here. Although...the White Devil might be paying you a visit in the not so far future... (You still haven't read it yet... )

Haha! Nah, everyone has their own journey. (Except that baby cow getting a bolt to the brain...his journey is over! )

A lot of veggies/vegans and animal rights people get emotional because they are passionate about the plight of animals. Some of these vegans get angry, or resentful even, and don't know how to deal with that or how to channel it into positive activism. I still get angry from time to time. Let's face it, we wouldn't like someone harming our dog or cat. And if someone did, we would be upset and very likely angry. Perhaps we would even physically defend our pets. Vegans and animal rights people feel that strongly about all animals. Not just the ones our culture/conditioning decides are safe from harm. But veganism is supposed to be about compassion. The definition is compassion to animals. Most extend that to mean humans too.

It's a complicated serious issue, especially regarding health and environmental destruction. (My mind goes to the shrieking vicar's wife in the Simpsons "Won't someone think of the children!" But I try to keep a sense of humour about it, and most things. No hate. (But hurry up and be vegan!) :D

(Great! I've become that stereotypical vegan, banging on about animals and vegetables!)

Lets change the subject!?

(Although before we do, do you think Ace, as a passionate defender of animals, would be vegan? )

Also what does the text under our profile pictures mean? Yours says 'JCO staff' and mine currently says 'finders keepers'....

And it changes from time to time...

Very cryptic!

Talk about over protective thsts Italians for ya
Growing up everything was this.. you better put on gloves or your gonna die ..or you better eat meat or your gonna die. Or you better not talk to strangers your gonna die. Ok maybe I'm exaggerating a bit.. but pretty much everything was like that scare tactic. You could die ..someone's gonna kidnap you ..which insistently happened to me at Yorkdsle mall where Jim had one of his How Rolland Rolls book signing ..geez I wonder how I'm still here..alive?

I think it was better to be a kid in the 70's and 80's.....we actually had childhoods, kids today grow up faster than their brains can cope.
