way too short, Claar and I were disappointed too, he also seemed reserved when he was playing the bongos, and from what Chip Douglas said, he seemed kinda quiet while signing autographs, why fly all the way to Canada to go on for a few minutes? Conan should have dedicated the whole show to Jim.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
J.T. I taped it but I wish the whole show could've had Jim Carrey on for the whole time because it seemed like he couldn't stay long on the show or it was like hi and bye, It could've been better though I think that it was much too short, I loved the little song and dance he did though but I think that it was much to short , it should've been longer especially if Jim Carrey comes on the show and they could've talked about Jim's upcoming movie Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind atleast but I got to tape it at least which was good.

I think maybe because there were three guests rather than just two, they really did have to give Jim only limited time. Until Jim was announced Eric McCormack was the main guest and would have had a lot more time, so I guess there's arguments on all sides. Also I think a lot of late night talk shows go for comedic things, rather than movie specific appearances. Unfortunately I didn't see the Bruce Almighty appearance on Conan *cries* so I can't judge it with anything, but I thought it was quite good. Jim did get 12 or so minutes which is awhile for a late night show so I was happy with it, I wasn't really expecting any longer. As for ESOTSM, the interviews will come for that in a few weeks, don't panic yet!

CHIP DOUGLAS HERE. Ignore my sign on name...or rather, EMBRACE IT, FOR I AM NOW BUUUUDY123, for god-knows-whatever reason.

Anyhoo, what y'all gotz ta realize is that Jim called Conan and asked to be on the show, not the other way around. It was his desire to travel all the way from LA to have 12 mins on stage, and I think that's amazing. Besides, he does the same thing on Conan in NY or Letterman, and Toronto's only an extra hour flight; so really, it's not like he made any huge sacrifice to be there. Hell, it's his home town...if it were me, I'd have done the same thing. Especially after the summer we had...SARS, anyone? Delicious SARS for EVERYBODY!!

Re. his being quiet during autograph signing...e wasn't, really, he was just kind of swamped. I dunno what it's like on Leno or even in New York, but here, there were dozens of people climbing over each other to get to touch the guy. I'd be a little dazed, too, even if I WAS a huge international superstar. In the end, whether it be for a minute or an hour, I appreciated his coming on the show, coming to Toronto, and feel incredibly lucky for having had the chance to meet the man. If things were a little quieter, maybe I'd have been able to ask him a couple things I'd love to share with the guy, but one can't have everything. For now, my autographed copy of Ace Ventura will bring me ASS-LOADS of joy. Did I mention he signed the case AND the DVD?? Soooooo sweeeeeet....I looked online...if I wanted to, I gould get up to a grand for it...US!! That's like 8 million dollars here, or thereabouts...anyway, it ain't for sale, so fugheddaboudit.

RMF

Yeah Jim wasn't there much long but on the other hand, I agree, that was very sweet of him to give himself so much trouble to come to Canada (but he wasn't doing anything right? )
He might want to become a US citizen but he'll always be a boy from here to me, and I know he feels that way too! Way to go beaver boy!

"Bonhomme, sais-tu jouer?
