Opening the same week :

- How to Train Your Dragon (Dreamworks, animation)
- Clash of the Titans (a big blockbuster, that's for sure)
- Greenberg (Ben Stiller, alternative comedy)

And other comedies are coming the week after that ...

- Date Night (Carell, Fey, Franco ...)

I don't know, I think 'Morris' will have a hart time at the box-office with a lot of competition. It should have been earlier in theaters, the weeks before there's nothing big coming out. Don't understand the choice they made about the release.

Normaly almost every Jim Carrey movie is doing well overhere, but 'Morris' is failing. Box Office in Belgium :

01. The Princess and the Frog (week 3)
02. Avatar (week 10)
03. Percy Jackson (week 2)
04. Valentine's Day (week 2)
05. Bo (week 2)
06. The Wolfman (week 2)
07. Planet 51 (week 2)
08. Edge of Darkness (NEW)
09. Le Mac (NEW)
10. Alvin and the Chipmunks (week 9)
11. Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs (week 6)
12. I LOVE YOU PHILLIP MORRIS (NEW)

Didn't even made the top 10 ... It's not doing well in France either, on number 14 in it's second week. But I have to confess the poster is terrible (most op people choose from looking at a poster, weird but true), the commericials sucked and most of the reviews were negative.

"I Love You Phillip Morris" had a ok avarage per screen in France the first weekend. I think it was the third highest at the box office list. Thats not so bad from less than 200 screens. I thought they would try to expand a bit over the next few weeks.

The movie has grossed more than $2,395,467 in France after the first 10 days.

Is it a more limited release in Belgium?

Hmm, that's not a real good result in France actually. Nope, in Belgium it's a wide release, but I see some of the biggest theatres already have the "Last Week" sign for 'Morris', it's a shame. I actually have to hurry if I want to see the movie, next sunday is my last chance.

Lets start the box office thread again. New distributor and a release date in next week! :)

It will open in 6 theaters in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco and then roll-out nationwide from there.

How much do you think it will gross domestic (US total gross)?
