Filming September 24 - November 2013
Just like parents consider their children to be the greatest kids in the world, director Peter Farrelly is proclaiming that "Dumb and Dumber To" could be "the best movie of all time."
Farrelly made that declaration in a Reddit AMA after a user asked for news on the sequel to the 1994 comedy starring Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey.
He replied, "We just finished shooting, don't want to brag, but it could be the best movie of all time. Seriously though, we're thrilled with it and are trying to get the studio to push the release date up."
Currently, the movie is scheduled to be released on November 14. Farrelly also revealed that a teaser trailer should be out in the next six to eight weeks.
As for the top-secret cameos, Farrelly noted that some of the names floating around are wrong (though Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence did film one).
"We have some of the greatest cameos in film history in Dumb an Dumber To. However, we want to keep them as a surprise," Farrelly said. "I will say this, some of the names I've seen bandied about are incorrect. But you won't be disappointed."
It's good that the brothers are trying to have the release date pushed up. I'd love to see this movie released around May or sometime thereabouts. I also like that it is going to be PG-13 like the original. I mean, there are lots of R-rated movies I like, but if they made this one a hard R, it just wouldn't seem right. The Dumb and Dumber universe has always been a bit innocent -- unless we're talking about the unrated cut. I just can't see Harry or Lloyd using the F-word every ten seconds.
My biggest concern about Dumb and Dumber To, though, is what the movie length will be. As I recall, the original was somewhere near two hours long, maybe a little behind that, wasn't it? It seems like a lot of the newer movies these days are cut down to about an hour and a half -- maybe because the studios rake in more money that way: the less the length, the more showings they can cram in a day. But I think Dumb and Dumber To deserves to be almost two hours long.

Dumb and Dumber (1994) 107 min (theatrical) | 113 min (unrated)
When I take a look at some comedies of last year, the running time is more or less the same in most of the cases.
Did they say when we will see the first trailer? I'm very excited about this movie, the first one is my most favorite movie not just by Jim Carrey but in general .
I'm qì, my friend.
Thank you Jim Carrey 85!
