I agree....the stuff out is from the courts btw.......Jims team tried to get the courts to release her medical records but it looks like Jim will be tried by a jury after all.. :(

The whole thing is so crass.

He could very well have been the world's biggest bastard to her, but that is not against the law and ultimately nobody can take responsibility for a suicide except one person. There's no coercion as far as anyone's aware and in absence of any evidence, only accusation, I don't believe for a second that he willingly gave her those drugs. She clearly had mental health issues before she got with him and they were a bad mixture together.
Of course, if he knowingly gave her STDs, that's appalling but no grounds for her mother to profit. You can't retroactively sue someone for that because there can't possibly be any proof as to where the infections originated.
There's no excuse in the world for that repugnant lawyer and her mother and 'ex' to be shitting on her memory by dragging her deepest thoughts and sexual health into the world view in order to get some petty revenge and make dollar. It's disgusting. Anything Jim may or may not have done is eclipsed by that tenfold.

Also the lawyer said 'the public needs to know'... wtf
The public needs to know nothing, dickwad. It's fuck all to do with anyone else and turning it into a public circus does Cathriona as much of a disservice as it does to Jim.

it just goes to show that when it comes to money folk will abandon all their morals if they think there's something in it for them......it's really very sad...... :(

Yep. Although I'm not entirely sure some people ever had any morals to begin with..

You can be sure that her Scientology involvement is going to be heavily raked up in this trial. They certainly won't be able to ignore a mentally ill woman being captured by a cult that demonises medicine and psychiatry.
Whatever Jim may or may not have done to her, she would've perhaps been psychologically able to cope if she'd been under the professional care she clearly needed.

It's interesting to note that if the accusers had tried to have Jim charged in the UK or Ireland it's extremely unlikely the Crown Prosecution Service would have charged him. It's really difficult to view this as a criminal case. :(

It's only a civil case though, not a criminal one.
Civil suits are all kinds of batshit in the states.

I could be wrong. But Cat being a scientology has only been mention in the weeks after her suicide. In recent news about the lawsuit not a word so I don't agree that it will be mention.

I don't think they will bring it up now.........i think everyone is so dammed afraid of being called a bigot they'll let it slide. I'm so friggin fed up of the PC bullies who have demonised common sense and the truth. Political correctness has gone too far now and criminals are getting away with murder because of it. The truth is, it shouldn't matter what colour, creed, sexual orientation or religion you are etc, we should ALL play by the same rules, NO exceptions.

Oh, it will definitely be brought up in the trial.

It's a major factor in her life and a very bizarre and exploitative doctrine. She was forbade from medical help for her depression and pressurised to bring in money to the 'church'. It's massively relevant.
If she'd been under the care of a psychiatrist, it's highly unlikely this would've happened.

I agree but the scieno lawyers might say it was irrelevant and any attempt to use it in court prejudicial....it's all different in the US, our CPS would have kicked the claims out. If only they lost their ridiculous religious charity status in the States, things would be a lot different.
