Fake Jim Carrey Fools… Badly
24 Feb 2015

By Eva Araújo (Web correspondent)

In a world where image sometimes dictated more than it should, people go way further than possible to fit the "patterns of beauty".

We all know that celebrities in the vast areas of entertainment are adore and copied and serve as role models even when that's not what they want. We also know that even looking like someone famous can be a business by itself.

Many people, who are "doubles" or "look-alikes" of all our adore stars can profit and create a bit of an illusion to others. And we must admit… some are pretty darn close to the real deal.

This is not the case…

A lot of news have surface about the Jim Carrey look-a-like that appear in an award ceremony in Prague. The man was welcome on stage as Jim would probably be: showered in confetti and applause. The thing is… it was not Jim Carrey.

And what makes this whole situation absurd is that the man in question couldn't even pass as 1% of Jim. It's very clear that it's not him. Not even a close call. Yet, apparently, the organizers swore it was Jim, especially because, the people behind the show were contacted by others pretending to be Jim's team.

We at JCO must admit: We are fans, so we are a little biased when it comes to Jim, or this wouldn't be a fan website. But yet, we have been following Jim's career for enough time, not to be fooled. There's only one Jim Carrey. That's a fact. We are yet to see a good double/look-alike of Jim so we got to wonder what in the hell they were thinking?

The best thing about all of this is that Jim used twitter to let everybody know what he thinks of the whole situation in his own unique and funny way:

You got to love the man.

We JCO will keep you updated as more news of the real Jim Carrey come.
