For a fan, the attachment we have to a character and story is personal and emotional. Nowadays, as globalized as things are, it's easier for fans to get together, speak their minds and influence some changes.
Recently, the long awaited trailer for the movie "Sonic the Hedgehog" came out and fans of the game and character voiced their opinions about it very loudly.
The issue: Sonic's design.
For the fans of Sonic, the design done for the character isn't good at all, missing the mark of the original design of the character. Being a live-action movie, meant there would be changes but for fans there's details that should have stayed.
The people responsible for the movie, listen and the director Jeff Fowler, sent a Twitter post to let fans know, changes would definitely be made:
Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear... you aren't happy with the design & you want changes. It's going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be... #sonicmovie #gottafixfast ????— Jeff Fowler (@fowltown) May 2, 2019
We are glad some people in the industry are willing to listen to fans and make changes, since it's only to improve and make it better.
We at JCO will keep you posted as more news come.
