yes..............that's exactly how i felt about the character Silas...........it is THE key figure...............he encapsulates the entire feeling of the book, such a tragic individual........................
and YES i'm pretty ceratin too that Jim would have gotten a best supporting actor Oscar.............BUT!!!!
He ain't a supporting actor................he's a leading man...........so i'm not sure how it would have sat with him anyway..............
when he wins it's going to be for best actor..................and he WILL win............patience is the name of the game here...........

lol........he's a leading man ............ he can open a movie on the power of his name alone.........it all depends on the movie and the genre...........
i
do think he is THE most skilled comedy actor in the world today..........
but i reckon it's gonna be in a more serious genre that he blows people's perceptions apart...................and he will......he certainly will............
but as i've said patience is the name of the game.............

i would have liked it if Jim was in this movie, cause the book is so big, he would get alot of attention, and probably praise form it.

...........I think you'll find you have your president due to the Christian vote..........
AND there is always controversy when anything religious is filmed.............especially this one..............we had 'the Last Temptation' and there were near riots demonstrating against it............

Maybe there is a chance for Jim Carrey to play some caracter in "Angels and Demons". I really want Jim and Ron Howard to work together again if Howard are making that movie too.
