I don't know about this one. I mean Dumb & Dummer was a good flick, given I still use some of the lines from the movie.

HEY! Wanna hear the most annoying sound in the world.........EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!

Anyways, with the fall of the prequel, I don't know if Daniels or Carrey would be up for it since Carrey is trying to focus more on dramatic acting rather than goofy comedy slapstick stuff. That's just my opinion.

Really? Not sure how I feel about this. I guess I'd like it as long as it does the first one justice, unlike the crappy prequel.

Even if the Farrelly's develop a good idea and a good script, I'm not sure if Jim Carrey and/or Jeff Daniels would go for it because a.) Jim said he didn't want to do anymore sequels and b.) does anyone even know what Daniels is up to these days?

All of that being said, if there's a good script and the actors go for it, I'm all in. :lloyd:

Jeff's really into his music and theatre now..... :D
y'know, normally i would say no to sequels but there was something about D&D which makes me think it might really work....on the other hand it could be a total bomb.......it would depend how it's handled.....if it's in a Mathau/Lemmon style then it might be Really good :D ......ie sensitively done...... :D
but it could also destroy their credibilility as actors.........hmmmm...

I don't think it's going to work. Like everyone said, the director is caught up in a lot of projects. Plus Jim works with dramatic movie ideas rather than slapstick.

Good thought, but I'm gonna have to say no on this one

i highly doubt he does it. he's not one to do sequals... daniels lives in michigan and does a lot of local shows and such, so i dont think he's too busy... i just dont see it happening. you know as much as we complain about it being done though, we'll all be there for the opening show! :)

Well, while promoting "Mr. Popper Penguins" Jim did mention he was up to "revisit some old characters" and he did mention "Dumb and Dumber" and "Bruce Almighty".

It really depends on a lot of factors but it seems to me like 20 years later he is actually open to do it.

Let us pray it will work:

"Oh my Boing! Enlighten Jim's hand, protected us from haters and stockarazzis and show us the path of pure Boing. Boing!" Lololololol

Sorry poeple, couldn't resist!

Exclusive: Dumb and Dumber 2 Begins Production This September

[...] "We're getting set to shoot 'Dumb and Dumber 2' in September," says Peter Farrelly. "It's the first sequel we've ever done and we've got Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels back." "We did not do 'Dumb and Dumberer'," he continues. "That was a studio thing. So we've always wanted to do a sequel and finally Jim called up. Jeff always wanted to do it. We always wanted to do it. Jim was busy, but he called and said, 'We've got to do this thing again.' He had just watched 'Dumb and Dumber' and he said, 'This is the perfect sequel. Let's do it.'" [...]

As this one has developed i've become more and more convinced this is going to be a massive film for Jim and Jeff. I've pretty much always felt D&D was one of Jims best films because it wasn't just mindless humour, the characters had pathos, we liked them.... :D
I'm 100% for this film but i gotta say i think Damn Yankees should be put to rest.......musicals aren't doing well unless you're after the teenage girls or gay markets....
