The Original Count Olaf

While doing some research I came across a man by the name of Clifford Thompson, born in 1906 who used to use the nickname of Count Olaf. He was 8'6" according to the article, is that possible? LOL Pretty strange huh?? Here is a photo of him as well as an article on him:

I love historical things.
Now my son won't feel so bad being really tall at 15.
We went into the school today and that's what
one of the teachers commented on how tall he was.

Not to bore anyone, but I believe I saw a story on Discovery Channel or something on someone like him. It turns out people who become QUITE TALL like that actually have a tumor in some area of the brain, and their growth activity accelerates. Yes I know, boring. :roll:

that's not boring, I always wondered why really tall people don't live as long as average height people, kinda sucks
