I just saw the trailer for the upcoming Burton-film 'Sweeney Todd', starring Johnny Depp (again). And it looks good! The mood is typical Burton and although I have the feeling Depp is running out of acting-tricks (his way of moving and things like that looks a lot like Count Olaf, btw), I really want to see it. (

PLEASE, please, please, please, PHU-LEASE, let Jim and Tim get together on this Ripley-thing. If Jim gets the unique chance to create a total new character that fits into the world created by Tim Burton ... well ... that would be great! There's nothing more in the world I would like to see in the list of Jim Carrey movies!

ME TOO!!!!...wow.

i just saw a clip and i definitely thought Depp had been studying Count Olaf!...i think Jim would have rocked that role, Jim can certainly sing better!.....I think Depp is being pigeon-holed into Burtons one trick pony now.......it's like Sweeny Hollow.......lmao

Yes! It's Rickman. Although I think he's always good, he really amazed me this year in 'Snow Cake'. Always curious about his roles.

I just saw a bunch of clips of the play version and now I can't wait! It apperently opens tomorrow but I don't see that our theater is playing it, though they have the poster.
Not too keen on seeing this one....

looks quite Gorry, violent too maybe!
I just watched the DVD Pearl Harbour, good story line, probably very true to life re the horrific destruction of life, I keep wondering why in the world do we keep repeating this war thing, nothing comes out of it but death, sad, sad situation.
I support the troops but I feel sad that they even have to be out there.
When you look at the big picture, in the end, nobody wins.
The majority looses.

I saw it! It's gory, but you can totally tell the blood is fake! The killing portion is so unrealistic it's funny. But overall I reeeeally enjoyed it, and Johnny Depp isn't that bad a singer.

but Jimmy is MUCH better.....geez i wish the boy would sing more ......he's doing himself an injustice by not showing the world how incredible his voice can be!

^ Which for me made it insanely funny!
But they cut out the best song, The Ballad of Sweeney Todd! It's so much fun to sing, and it's catchy!
