Yeaaaah, now we're getting somewhere! Coming Soon! and Variety has some good news about "Bruce Almighty." As previously reported, Tom Shadyac will be directing the Universal comedy and Steve Oedekerk is writing the script. The trio have been working on the movie since last month. There's also a new, intriguing premise about the movie: "'Bruce Almighty' is a whiny guy who questions once too often why God gives him so much grief. He is suddenly given almighty power for 24 hours to teach him how difficult it is to run the world. Comedy ensues as the guy misuses, then tries to harness his awesome power."
Film production is set for this Summer -- July, if you wanna be specific. And in case you're wondering, "Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind" is his follow-up.
