Gong Li joins Carrey In "Believe It Or Not"

Actor Dan Fogler actress Gong Li (Miami Vice, Memoirs of a Geisha) will be co-starring with Jim Carrey in his upcomming movie Ripley's Believe It or Not which is a biopic of Robert Ripley, by director Tim Burton. Jim Carrey will be starring as Robert Ripley. The film is in pre-production stages and is expected to be completed in 2007 for a December 14 release date.
The director of the movie thinks Gong Li is more suitable for the role in the film. Ripley's Believe It or Not is about Ripley at the time when he gained popularity through a "Believe it or Not" column which included his search for the greatest oddities and amazing people in the world.
Therefore, he starts to respect his amazing and unusual human discoveries as more than mere conquests to be documented.
