By Ryan Al-Hakim (Web correspondent)

This new information about Jim’s upcoming film "A Christmas Carol" will really get you singing with joy. We are pleased to announce that four new cast members have been added to the list of actors and as you will be happy to know, they are all very high profile stars.

The current cast list reads as follows:

  • Jim Carrey
  • Bob Hoskins (Mona Lisa, Mrs Henderson Presents)
  • Colin Firth (Bridget Jones's Diary, Love Actually)
  • Robin Wright Penn (Forrest Gump, Beowulf)
  • Gary Oldman (Batman Begins, Harry Potter movies)
It really doesn’t get any bigger than this. With such a strong cast this film shows a huge amount of potential even prior to the innovative motion capture filming process scheduled to begin during early 2008.

As of yet only Jim and Hoskins have specified parts. Jim is playing a massive four roles in this film. These are the famous Ebenezer Scrooge and the three Ghosts of Christmas past, present and future.

Bob Hoskins has been set down to play Ebenezer’s warm hearted apprentice Mr. Fezziwig.

If that was not enough new information for one day, a US release date has been confirmed for the film. November 6th 2009.

This project seems to be getting bigger every day and with a great director and cast this film promises to be an excellent production all round.
