Robotnik returns in Sonic 3?

Apparently, the storyboards of the upcoming movie "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" and mini series "Knuckles" were leaked. The interesting part of Sonic 3 is that they feature Dr. Robotnik, so it looks like he's come back for at least one more movie.
Now, we need to ask you all to take this news with a grain of salt. There's no official confirmation if Jim Carrey will return. The storyboards could have done early in the production, they could have replaced Jim or, since it seems the storyboards are from the end of the movie, he could have a small participation, either previous recorded or through flashbacks.
For sure we know that we don't know anything yet. But we do hope for it to be true.
