Sonic 2 Crosses $235 million at Easter Weekend

Jim Carrey and his new movie "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" had another great weekend with $30 million at second place. It has now collected $119.0 million in its first two weeks of domestic release. Outside of North America, where "Sonic 2" opened a week earlier, the film has pulled in $112.2 million so far, bringing its current worldwide cumulative box office to $231.8 million.
And the new week has started good, at Easter Monday it grossed another $4 million displacing "The Secrets of Dumbledore. That means it beats Sonic 1's 2nd Monday by 275%. It only needs $25 million more domestically to match part 1's domestic haul.
The official worldwide numbers as of April 18 is $235,629,523!
